Titanium equipment is increasingly widely used in various industries. From the perspective of design methods and technical specifications, the design of titanium equipment can be divided into the following categories:

 

1) Pressure vessel equipment: such as evaporators and reactors for certain chemical applications;

2) Atmospheric pressure equipment: such as titanium shell-and-tube heat exchangers, various titanium containers, etc.;

3) General mechanical equipment: such as titanium fans, titanium valves, titanium joints, etc.;

4) Titanium equipment and components for special or dedicated conditions: such as titanium joints and titanium bones for medical use.

 

Currently, many titanium devices are pressure vessels, which require not only excellent corrosion resistance but also high comprehensive mechanical properties and good weldability. Designers of titanium pressure vessels must first master the various general technical specifications for "pressure vessels" that have been promulgated and implemented in my country.

 

Titanium materials have good machinability; most cold working processes can be directly performed using ordinary processing equipment, and there are basically no problems with the cold working process of titanium materials.

 

Currently, there are many titanium grades available both domestically and internationally for manufacturing pressure vessels. As the application fields continue to expand, new corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant, and high-strength titanium alloys are also under continuous research and development.
