The manufacturing process of titanium rods mainly includes six core steps: melting, forging, hot rolling, heat treatment, finishing, and surface treatment. Each step plays a decisive role in the performance of the final product.

 

Vacuum arc remelting (VAR) or cold hearth furnace melting (such as EBCHM, PACHM) is employed, carried out in a high vacuum or inert atmosphere to prevent contamination by gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen.

 

Melting: Vacuum arc remelting (VAR) ensures low impurities.

Forging/Rolling: Hot working into rods refines the grain size and improves mechanical properties.

Surface Treatment: Pickling, polishing, or anodizing enhances corrosion resistance.
