Product Introduction

ASTM B363 Titanium Eccentric Reducer is manufactured to ASTM B363, which covers seamless and welded unalloyed titanium and titanium alloy welding fittings, and its dimensions follow ASME B16.9. It's made from wrought titanium and titanium alloys, offering strong corrosion resistance, a high strength-to-weight ratio, and reliable performance in aggressive industrial environments

Standards Compliance

  • Material Standard: ASTM B363 / ASME SB363, covering seamless and welded titanium and titanium alloy welding fittings
  • Dimensional Standard: ASME B16.9, for factory-made wrought steel buttweld fittings
  • Other recognized standards: MSS SP-43, JIS B2311 / B2312 / B2313, DIN 2605, EN 10253

Material Grades

ASTM B363 titanium eccentric reducers are available in several grades, each suited to different corrosion and mechanical requirements:

  • Grade 1 (UNS R50250) – Commercially pure titanium with excellent formability, lower strength, and the highest corrosion resistance among the CP grades.
  • Grade 2 (UNS R50400) – The most widely used CP titanium, b363 gr2 titanium reducer offering a good balance of strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance for general-purpose applications.
  • Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V, UNS R56400) – An alpha-beta alloy with high strength and good weldability, typically used in high-load applications.
  • Grade 7 (UNS R52400) – CP titanium with a small addition of palladium (0.12–0.25%), which provides superior crevice corrosion resistance in reducing acids.
  • Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V, UNS R56320) – An alpha-beta alloy offering moderate strength and excellent formability, often used in high-pressure piping.
  • Grade 12 (UNS R53400) – CP titanium with nickel (0.3–0.8%) and molybdenum (0.2–0.4%). It offers better corrosion resistance than Grade 2 and serves as a more cost-effective alternative to Grade 7 in some environments.

Typical Applications

Titanium eccentric reducers are commonly specified in industries where corrosion resistance and reliable flow control are priorities:

  • Chemical & Petrochemical – Acid processing, chlor-alkali, fertilizer, and polymer plants
  • Oil & Gas – Offshore platforms, subsea pipelines, sour gas systems, and pump stations
  • Desalination & Water Treatment – Seawater intake, brine disposal, and reverse osmosis systems
  • Marine & Shipbuilding – Ship piping, ballast systems, and offshore structures
  • Power Generation – Geothermal, nuclear (non-reactor), and waste-heat recovery systems
  • Pulp & Paper – Bleaching circuits and corrosive liquor handling
  • Pharmaceutical & Food – Sanitary, high-purity fluid systems, typically using Grade 1 or Grade 2
