Grade 2 titanium hex bar (GR2, UNS R50400, also known as TA2 in China) are the most common hexagonal profiles made from commercially pure titanium. Their main advantage is a good balance between strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance, which makes them suitable for demanding applications across chemical processing, medical devices, marine environments, and aerospace. Titanium (Ti) makes up the balance. Impurities are kept tight to maintain consistent performance:
