ERTi-2 Titanium Welding Wire is the most common commercial pure titanium wire. Grade 2,Gr2 ERTi-2 Titanium WireUsed for welding CP titanium – Grades 1 through 4. You get moderate strength, good ductility, decent corrosion resistance, and it welds easily.
A few things to know
Corrosion resistance is fine – stable in seawater, chlorides, nitric acid, organic media.
Good ductility and toughness – welds don't crack easily, formability is decent.
Non‑magnetic, non‑toxic – okay for medical, food processing, clean applications.
Thermal and electrical conductivity are decent – helps with heat control during welding, less hot cracking.
Weldability – works with TIG, MIG, plasma. Usually no preheat needed.
